Most carpet cleaning uses a detergent because detergent is what makes soil let go of the fiber. The problem is that a small portable machine can't rinse all of it back out, so a film stays behind. That film is sticky, and sticky is exactly the condition that grabs the next month of foot traffic. Dirt Free has never put soap in the compound. Aubrey Thoede spent about two years in the 1980s building a version that lifts soil without leaving anything to hold on to it, patented it, and has been proving it's safe by drinking it on Houston television ever since. The first thing we do on a job that's had a previous cleaner isn't clean, it's rinse. Getting their residue out is a named step, not something we charge extra for.
What the visit actually looks like.
We start with a free test spot in the worst room you've got, before you owe us anything. You watch the edge where the cleaned pile meets the pile we haven't touched yet, and that tells you what the rest of the job will do. If you want to carry on, pricing is quoted per room from there, with additional rooms discounted rather than charged at the same rate as the first. The truck stays at the kerb the whole time; only the hose and the wand come inside. Most jobs are dry in one to six hours. If a spot comes back within seven days of an approved test spot, we come out again at no charge.
