Urine goes past the pile into the backing and the pad. UV detection finds where it actually is, enzyme treatment breaks it down, and molecular neutralization deals with what's left instead of covering it up.
Why the smell comes back after a normal clean.
A standard carpet clean, even a good one, only reaches the top of the pile. A pet accident doesn't stay there. It soaks through to the backing and into the pad underneath, and that's where the bacteria that actually causes the smell keeps living. Steam a spot like that and it can look fine for a week. Then heat or humidity brings the odor back up through the fiber, and the owner assumes the clean didn't work. It worked on the part that was visible. The part that mattered was underneath it.
How we actually find and treat it.
We use UV light to find contamination you can't see and often can't smell yet, because urine fluoresces under UV even once it's dried and the stain has faded from view. Once we know exactly where it is, not just where it looks like it is, we apply an enzyme treatment that breaks down the organic material causing the odor rather than masking it with fragrance. For deeper or older contamination that's reached the pad, molecular neutralization deals with what the enzyme pass can't fully reach on the surface. None of this involves soap. The same rinse principle applies here as everywhere else we work: nothing goes in that we'd want left behind.

One spot or the whole room?
A single old accident is usually a spot job on its own, priced separately from a full room clean. If the carpet's due a clean anyway, it makes sense to book both at once since the truck and the free test spot are already part of the visit. Either way, the same carpet cleaning method and the same soap-free compound handle the rest of the room.
